ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) sets out the rules and guidelines for using the Theraply Ltd platform (the “Platform”).

By accessing or using our services, Clients, Therapists, and any users of the Platform agree to comply with this Policy. Failure to comply may result in restricted access, suspension, termination of accounts, or legal action.

All definitions and terminology used in this Policy shall have the same meaning as set out in the applicable Terms and Conditions and Therapist Services Agreement.

 

1. COMPLIANCE WITH LAW

1.1. Users of the Platform must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the laws of England and Wales and any applicable international laws.

1.2. This includes compliance with:

  • data protection laws (including UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018)

  • consumer protection laws

  • safeguarding obligations

  • professional and regulatory requirements

 

2. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

2.1. Users must not:

2.1.1. Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights, including intellectual property and data protection rights.

2.1.2. Engage in harassment, abuse, hate speech, discrimination, defamation, or any offensive or harmful behaviour.

2.1.3. Impersonate any person or entity, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent activity.

2.1.4. Upload, distribute, or transmit malicious software, harmful files, or inappropriate content.

2.1.5. Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or data.

2.1.6. Violate the privacy of others by collecting, storing, or sharing personal data without lawful basis or consent.

2.1.7. Publish or promote explicit, obscene, or inappropriate content inconsistent with the purpose of the Platform.

2.1.8. Promote or engage in illegal or highly regulated activities without proper authorisation.

 

3. USE OF SERVICES

3.1. Therapists must provide services only within their professional qualifications, scope of practice, and applicable legal and regulatory standards, as outlined in the Therapist Services Agreement. 

3.2. Therapists must not:

  • misrepresent qualifications

  • provide services outside their competence

  • deliver unsafe or unethical services

3.3. Therapists must not attempt to provide services to Clients in emergency or crisis situations where immediate medical or emergency intervention is required.

3.4. Clients must use the Platform solely for the purpose of receiving therapy or related services.

3.5. Clients must not:

  • exploit, harass, or misuse therapists

  • use the Platform for unrelated commercial or harmful purposes

3.6. Users must not engage in excessive or disruptive use of the Platform that may impact availability for others.

 

4. PAYMENTS AND FINANCIAL CONDUCT

4.1. All payments made through the Platform must comply with applicable financial regulations and the Platform’s Terms and Conditions.

4.2. Users must not:

  • engage in fraudulent chargebacks

  • attempt unauthorised payment reversals

  • circumvent the Platform’s payment system

4.3. Therapists must not accept off-platform payments from clients introduced through the Platform, in accordance with the Therapist Services Agreement. 

 

5. PLATFORM SECURITY AND INTEGRITY

5.1. To maintain the integrity and security of the Platform, users must:

5.1.1. Use only authorised login credentials.

5.1.2. Not introduce viruses, malware, scripts, or harmful technologies.

5.1.3. Not attempt to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the Platform.

5.1.4. Promptly report any security vulnerabilities or breaches to Theraply Ltd.

 

6. SAFEGUARDING AND USER SAFETY

6.1. Users must act in a manner that promotes safety and wellbeing.

6.2. Therapists must comply with safeguarding obligations and professional standards when working with Clients.

6.3. The Platform must not be used as a substitute for emergency services. If a Client is in crisis, they must contact appropriate emergency services immediately.

 

7. ENFORCEMENT

7.1. Theraply Ltd reserves the right to:

  • suspend or terminate accounts

  • restrict access to the Platform

  • remove content

  • investigate suspected violations

7.2. We may take such actions where we reasonably believe this Policy or applicable law has been breached.

 

8. AMENDMENTS

8.1. Theraply Ltd reserves the right to update or modify this Policy at any time.

8.2. Continued use of the Platform after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

9. YOUR CONSENT

9.1 By using our Service, you agree to this Acceptable Use Policy.
